EAST PRAIRIE - Eurie "Butch" Kestner, 76, died at 7:20 p.m. Feb. 2, 2003, at the Bertrand Nursing Facility.
Born Aug. 12, 1926, in Marston, son of the late Ean A. and Lillian Bonta Kestner, he lived in East Prairie most of his life and was of the Pentecostal belief. He retired from Brown Shoe Company in Charleston.
On Jan. 19, 1944, he married Gretna Mae Brantley who preceded him in death on Aug. 10, 1993.
Survivors include: one son Bobby Kestner of East Prairie; four daughters, Barbara Ivie and Valerie Miller of Poplar Bluff, Brenda Ray of Clinton, Ky., and Beverly Potter of Benton, Ark.; one sister, Margie Lovall of the state of Washington; and 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, three sisters and one grandson preceded him in death.
Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday with Burl Britt, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
Pallbearers will be: Harold Lemons, Rick Givens, Frank Eaves, Jackie Barker, Sidney Drummond and Bill Grigsby.
