SCOTT CITY - Fred Wadlington, 83, died at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 5, 2002, at his home.
Born Aug. 6, 1919, in Blodgett, son of the late Robert Daniel and Laura Adell Dean Wadlington, he was a truck driver with the Elfrink Trucking Company before retiring.
On March 23, 1940, he married Eva May Walter who preceded him in death on June 11, 1989.
Survivors include: two sons, Roger Wadlington of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Terry Wadlington of Perryville; one daughter, Carolyn Gay Wadlington of Scott City; one sister, Elva Sander of Fairview Heights, Ill.; and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Five brothers, one sister and three grandchildren also preceded him in death.
No visitation is scheduled.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Terry Eades officiating.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
