SIKESTON - At least four Sikeston youths called to the colors Tuesday under Selective Service have been assigned to Marine duty at the Jefferson Barracks Induction Station. They are Emmanuel Schorle Jr., John Russell Felker, Richard Murphy and Eunice Marshall. A.W. Swacker and Dick McDougal were assigned for duty in the Army Air Force at Elwood Terrell as mechanics in the Air Force.

SIKESTON - The Treble Tones, one of Sikeston's more popular singing groups, entertained the Kiwanis Club Tuesday night. Members of the group are Mrs. Robert Bozell, Mrs. Rayford Dykes and Mrs. Glen Bond.

SIKESTON - Outstanding community members will be honored Feb. 17 at the annual Sikeston Jaycee Distinguished Service Awards Banquet. Ralph Ebersole, plant manager for Noranda Aluminum Inc. will be guest speaker at the banquet which will be conducted at the Sikeston Country Club.

SIKESTON - Karen and Rick Dockins are the parents of a daughter, Chelsie Ann Dockins, born Feb. 3 at the Missouri Delta Community Hospital.

SIKESTON - Chuck Leible and Terry Bryant are seeking re-election to the Sikeston City Council. The seat carries a three-year term of office.

CHARLESTON - Two candidates declared for the one three-year seat on the City Council. Incumbent Daughhetee faces opposition from Cassell Williams.

CHARLESTON - A four-man race is featured for the police chief's four-year post. Incumbent Richard Gregory faces opposition from A. Phillip Gant, Joey Manning and Richard Parker.
