LILBOURN - Aliene Mitchell, 84, died Dec. 8, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Oct. 28, 1920, in Seadrift, Texas, daughter of the late Jack Wright and Myra Kathryn Walgren Mills, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lilbourn. She was a second grade teacher at Lilbourn Elementary School for 35 years before retiring.
On June 1, 1949, she married H.B. Mitchell who preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 1982.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Laura Kathryn Mitchell and Eduardo Pipman of Montreal, Quebec, Canada; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Pauline Mills of Arab, Ala., and Jess and Wanda Mills of Wiley, Texas; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Ruth McSpaddden of San Antonio, Kathy Hays of Ozark, Jo Ann and Bill Donald of Greenville, Miss., and Tess Polk of Kerrville, Texas; and many beloved nieces and nephews; and special people, Mark and Scott Pfeffer.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Lilbourn.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Lilbourn. The Rev. Bill Reid, pastor, and the Rev. AlMarie Reynolds, former pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
Pallbearers will be: Mark Pfeffer, Scott Pfeffer, Jerry Webb Duncan, Jon Giddens, Larry Thorne and Boone Thorne.
