DEXTER - Jean Yeager, 79, died Dec. 8, 2004, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center.
Born Jan. 15, 1925, in Bernie, daughter of the late Gabe and Ida Neal Pointer, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, where she was a nursery worker for 34 years. She was employed by Paramount Headwear in Dexter for 30 years before retiring.
On Jan. 11, 1947, in Caruthersville, she married Eugene C. Yeager who preceded her in death on June 4, 1987.
Survivors include: one son, Steve Yeager of Dexter; one daughter, Debbie Yeager of St. Louis; one sister, Thelma Plympton of Waterford, Mich.; and four grandchildren, Hayley Yeager, Taryn Yeager, Eric Mathis and Aaron Mathis.
Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Fred Pointer, Henry Pointer and Byron Gabe Pointer; and four sisters, Eunice Reeves, Nora Pointer, Dora Pointer and Julia Burke.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. Friday until service time at 11 a.m. at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Vaughn Wright will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
