Eighth graders win

DEXTER -- Sikeston's eighth grade girls basketball team won the third place trophy in the Dexter Tournament on Tuesday night, beating Charleston 34-8.

Jessica McCray led the charge for the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points, followed by Shaketa Ranson with 12.

For Charleston, Lawrence and Williams scored four points each.

Sikeston (3-3) will be back in action next Monday at Cape Central.
