Bustos - Merideth

SAN ANTONIO -- Jaime Vaness Bustos and Kenneth D. Merideth were united in marriage in a 4 p.m. ceremony Nov. 9, 2002, at Sacred Heart Chapel of Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. The mass was celebrated by the Rev. Michael Horan.

Ceremony music was performed by Canzona String Trio, under the direction of Doris Norton and Mary Ann De la Garza. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Bustos of San Antonio and granddaughter of Elisa Bustos and Frank M. Garcia and the late Robert E. Bustos and Evelyn M. Garcia.

The bridegroom is the son of Mary Merideth of Sikeston, Mo., and Kenneth Merideth of Essex, Mo. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Owen Merideth and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Howell.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an Italian duchess satin ball gown. The beaded gown, which was adorned with french lace, was made exclusively for the bride by Lisette Lux of Houston. Complementing the gown, the bride wore a cathedral length veil trimmed with lace cascading from a handmade Swarovski crystal and a pearl tiara, also by Lisette Lux.

Denise Bustos Madrid of Houston, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor and Brittany Cherie Bustos of San Antonio, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Melissa Diebel, Taffany Garza and Valerie Salido of San Antonio, Laura Garcia of Dallas and Rachel Pape of Houston. Lauren Teachout of Sikeston served as junior bridesmaid. Attending the bride as flower girls were Angelica Lopez and Robin Lopez of San Antonio, cousins of the bride.

Roy Merideth of Cape Girardeau, Mo., brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Lorei of Orlando, Fla., Wayne Kennedy of Sarasota, Fla., Shawn Merideth of Olathe, Kan., Shannon Merideth of Springfield, Mo., and Michael Carson and Mario Madrid of Houston, brother-in-law of the bride. Zachchary White, cousin of the bride, served as ring bearer.

Attending the couple as ushers were Sean White, Xavier Silva, Christopher Garcia and Levi Loya, all of San Antonio and cousins of the bride.

The new Mrs. Merideth attended Incarnate Word High School of San Antonio and the University of Houston. She is a power scheduler at Calpine Energy Services in Houston.

Her husband attended Sikeston Senior High School and Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield. He is an options trader at Entergy-Koch Trading in Houston.

Following the ceremony, the couple was escorted by The Mariachi Azteca into the Grand Anacacho Ballroom of the St. Anthony Hotel where music was performed by Bandango.

On the eve of the wedding, friends and family joined the bride and bridegroom on the patio overlooking The River Walk at The Mexican Manhattan.

Following a honeymoon at Parrot Cay of the Turks and Caicos Islands, the couple will reside in Houston.
