SIKESTON - Clint McKenzie Hensley Sr., 77, died at 1:38 a.m. Jan. 27, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Dec. 12, 1925, in Linden, Tenn., son of the late Sid and Vera James Hensley, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was of the Baptist belief. He owned and operated Hensley Construction Company in Sikeston and was a member of James Tanner Amvets Post 0149 and the Missouri Honorary Sheriff's Association.
On Jan. 3, 1947, at Kewanee, he married Clodean Bewley who preceded him in death on Oct. 11, 1992.
Survivors include: one son, Clint M. Hensley Jr. of Morehouse; four daughters, Barbara Ann Matney of Overland, Iritta Gail Byrum and Mary Nell Howard of Sikeston and Ritta Sue Newton of Morehouse; one half brother, David Jones of Matthews; five sisters, Dollie Vaughn and Irene Hughes of Morehouse, Melba Burnett of Ripley, Miss., Jo Coffman of Matthews and Frankie Hicks of Canalou; and 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
One grandson, two brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Carl Addison, pastor of Tanner Street Church of God, will officiate.
The Missouri Military Funeral Honor Guard will conduct military graveside rites at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
