BERNIE - Carol Peppers, 58, died Dec. 26, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born June 14, 1946, at Lemay to the late Leonard J. Burns and Lee Etta Brawley, she was a lifelong resident of Bernie and affiliated with the Powe Gospel Church in Powe.
On Nov. 15, 1986 in Kennett, she married Kenneth Peppers who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Bently Joe Jennings of Qulin and Brian Lee Jennings of Bernie; one daughter, Tracy Lynn Jennings of Hinesville, Ga.; two stepsons, Mark Peppers of Campbell and James Peppers of West Memphis, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Chastity Peppers of West Memphis; six sisters, Mildred Browning, Elsie Martin, Rosalie Taylor, Sandra Nash, Debbie Clark and Janice Burns, addresses unavailable; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin Burns and Larry Burns; and three sisters, Glenda Burns, Wanda Sorano and Sharon Kiehn.
A memorial service is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Powe Gospel Church at Powe under the direction of the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home.
