SIKESTON - Boy Scouts opened a ticket sales drive for the Okeechobee District Exposition Saturday when they presented a complementary ticket to City Manager Raymert Miller.
SIKESTON - An extension to a $42,849 federal grant has been approved for the Bootheel Coalition for the Homeless, according to Steve Triplett, chairman of the effort. He said the extension for the grant funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development was received this morning. The city of Sikeston applied for the funding for the effort.
EAST PRAIRIE - The 1988-89 school calendar and two fund-raising projects were approved March 14 by the East Prairie R-1 Board of Education.
