Headline clarification

BENTON - The headline on the Oct. 23 edition of the Standard Democrat which announced the Scott County sheriff requested 31 new positions for the new jail was incorrect. As some of the positions will be filled by people already employed by the sheriff's department, only about half of the jobs will be new positions. We regret the error.
