DEXTER - Gertrude Elledge Metz, 71, died Oct. 26, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Jan. 15, 1931, in Dexter, daughter of the late Arthur J. and Ada Meek McDaniel, she lived in Dexter most of her life where she retired from Elder Manufacturing and was a member of the Second General Baptist Church.

On Nov. 11, 1957, in Hernando, Miss., she married Eddie H. Elledge who preceded her in death on May 15, 2000.

On Dec. 1, 2001, at Dexter, she married Alvin Metz who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Wayne Razer and Harold Razer of Dexter; two sisters, Wanda Lemons of Dexter and Velma Hanks of Steelville; and four grandchildren; four stepchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey McDaniel in 1959 and Lindal McDaniel in 1962.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Phil Warren and the Rev. Kenneth Biggs will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
