CHARLESTON -- Pauline Lucretia Scheffer, 75, died at 4:05 p.m. Dec. 27, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Jan. 25, 1929, in Charleston, daughter of the late Clem and Emma Gibbear Scheffer Sr., she had live din Charleston her entire life, where she was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and St. Henry's Quilting Group. She also served as a caregiver at the St. Henry Catholic School.
Survivors include: two brothers, Joe Scheffer of Baldwin, Ill., and Clem Scheffer Jr. of Sikeston; two sisters, Christine Senciboy of Perkins and Frances Slayden of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Scheffer, Lawrence Scheffer, John Henry Scheffer and Berisimo Scheffer; and three sisters, Frances Scheffer, Philomena Jones and Margaret Proctor.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where prayers will be recited at 7 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston with Monsignor Stephen Schneider, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Clem Scheffer III, Ronald Slayden, Roy Proctor, Jim Senciboy, Tim Harvell and Stephen Scheffer.
