STURGIS, Miss. - John L. Ransburgh, 90, died Jan. 21, 2003, at the Optimum Personal Care Center in Houston, Texas.
A native of New Madrid, Mo., he retired as a commercial construction superintendent and was a member of the Sturgis United Methodist Church.
His wife, Eugenia Ransburgh, preceded him in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Suzanne Benson of Houston, Texas; one sister, Virginia Recker of New Madrid; and nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were a son, John Ransburgh Jr.; and a daughter, Kay Waddell.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Nowell Funeral Home in Ackerman, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Lavelle Woodrick will officiate.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.
Graveside services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday at the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid with the Rev. Lynn Quist officiating.
