DUDLEY - John Hagy Sr., 85, died Jan. 19, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus in Poplar Bluff.
Born May 2, 1917, in Dexter, son of the late Joseph Greene and Nellie Belle Garner Hagy, he lived in the Dudley and Dexter communities all his life and attended the Church of God in Dudley.
On May 11, 1943, in Poplar Bluff, he married Beatrice Scott who preceded him in death on Jan. 17, 2002.
Survivors include: three sons, John Hagy Jr. of Dexter, Earl Hagy of Bel-Ridge and James Hagy of West Melbourne, Fla.; eight daughters, Nellie Runyon of Olney, Ill., Juanita Willoughby of Quapaw, Okla., Carolyn Fielder of Benton and Doris Price, Cora Magarian, Sandra Bayless, Claudia Scott and Wanda Drews of Dexter; and 32 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were three sons, Ernest Hagy, Vincent Hagy and Estel Hagy; one daughter, Vida Scott; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Jerry Metcalf of Puxico and the Rev. Curtis True of Sikeston will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
