CLARKTON -- Risco opened the Clarkton Holiday Tournament with a bang Monday night, blistering Holcomb 78-41. Greg Landers hit three 3-pointers, finishing with 24 points overall. Teammate Luke Carter was also in the zone, contributing 20 points. For Holcomb, Tyler Lynn led the way with 14 points, followed by Rex McElwrath with 13. After losing their first two games of the season, Risco has now won five straight.
In Monday's other tournament game, Campbell defeated Southland. The Tigers (5-2) will face Campbell on Thursday night at 6 p.m.
PUXICO -- Scott Central suffered its third loss of the season Monday night, falling to Puxico, 71-68.
Matt Fox led the Indians with 23 points, followed by Jesse Townsend with 18 and Tyler Ramsey with 10. For the Braves, DuJuan Watkins led the way with 24 points, followed by Chris Pullen with 17 and Matt Holman with 10. Scott Central (2-3) will host Neelyville on Thursday.
