ADVANCE - Estella M. Hahn, 97, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Jan. 13, 2003, at the Advance Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 30, 1905, at Kelso, daughter of the late Louis and Kathryn Heisserer Burger, she retired in 1967 from the St. Francis Medical Center Laundry Department in Cape Girardeau. A former member of St. Mary's Cathedral and St. Mary's Quilting Club in Cape Girardeau, she was currently a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Council of Catholic Women and St. Ann's Sodality in Advance.
On Sept. 6, 1927, at Kelso, she married Toney O. Hahn who preceded her in death on June 8, 1977.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Richard A. and Jody Hahn of Advance; one daughter, Doris Slaughter of Sikeston; two sisters, Anna Dirnberger of Chaffee and Vernetta Scherer of Kelso; and 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Marie Ann Hahn; one brother, seven sisters and a grandson.
Visitation is from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau, where parish prayers are scheduled for 7:45 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral with the Rev. Stephen A. Schneider and the Rev. Scott Sunnenberg officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Pallbearers will be: Leonard Glueck, Vincent Glueck, Mark Hahn, Vance Boyer, Steven Kyle and Tony Atkins.
