NEW HAMBURG -- Michelle LeAnn Essner became the bride of Andrew David Silman in a 1 p.m. ceremony Aug. 10, 2002, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg. Monsignor Philip Bucher performed the ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Carla and Andrew Essner of New Hamburg and the bridegroom is the son of Cindy and Mark Silman of Benton.
Music for the ceremony was provided by pianist Malinda Nelson and soloist Mary Glastetter.
Cousins of the bride Andrea Essner of Providence, R.I., and Nicole Essner of Indianapolis, served as lectors for the ceremony.
Lisa Essner of New Hamburg attended her sister as maid of honor and Leonna Essner of New Hamburg served her cousin as honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Toni Pemberton of Charleston, Kristina Roslen of Sikeston, Lyndsey Mosby of McClure, Ill., friends of the bride, and Kari Wilhelm of Benton, cousin of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were LaGena Strobel of Bell City, cousin of the bride and Jordan Silman of Van Buren, sister of the bridegroom. Anne Ziegler of Kelso, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Attending his brother as best man was Allan Silman of Benton, and Nathan Dirnberger of New Hamburg served his friend as honor attendant. Groomsmen were Dustin Essner of New Hamburg, brother of the bride, Nick Kennedy of Sikeston, Greg Morgan of Benton and Jason Glastetter of New Hamburg, friends of the bridegroom, and junior groomsman Trey Strobel of Bell City, cousin of the bride. Bryant Gage of Charleston, cousin of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.
Ushers were Gary Kluesner of New Hamburg, friend of the bridegroom and Kent Essner of Jefferson City, cousin of the bride.
Candlelighters were Kim Ziegler of Kelso, cousin of the bride, Andrea Heisserer of Oran, friend of the bride, Malinda Dumey of Benton, cousin of the bride.
Following a honeymoon to Orlando, Fla., the new Mr. and Mrs. Silman are making their home in Benton.
