SIKESTON - The Public Services Department has recently moved from 301 N. New Madrid St. to the City Administration Building, 215 N. New Madrid St. The department, which is part of the city services, will be located on the second floor of the building where the city court was formerly held.

SIKESTON - Ira Spencer Jr. wondered what he could have done wrong when Sikeston police came to his house last week. "The police came by here and knocked on my door. I said, 'Oh, no. What have I done'" Turned out, what Spencer had done was win the Missouri Lottery's SuperCash SuperBash promotion. He and three other winners won $14,800 Super Sunday packages, which include a trip for two to the upcoming SuperBowl in Pasadena, Calif., and $10,000 in spending money.
