Reva Hood

CHAFFEE - Reva I. Hood, 88, died at 5:35 p.m. Jan. 9, 2003, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

Born March 25, 1914, in Grandin, daughter of the late Joseph and Minnie Myrick McDowell, she owned and operated Hood's Sewing Center before retiring and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chaffee.

On July 25, 1931, she married Bert Hood who preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1988.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Joseph B. Hood and James Richard Hood; and two brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include: five grandchildren, Susan Huddleston, Cheryl Latshaw, Joseph E. Hood Jr. and Valeda Learue of Sikeston and Robin Tarasevic of Gosnell, Ark.; and 14 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. Saturday until service time at 10 a.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. James Fields will officiate.

Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
