Sikeston Standard Democrat: Obituaries: Deen Esarey (01/09/03)

PUXICO - Deen Esarey, 81, died Jan. 9, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Dec. 13, 1921, at Bernie, son of the late Richard Deen and Anna May Barks Esarey, he had lived in Puxico most of his life and retired as a livestock and row crop farmer.

Survivors include: one brother, Curtis Esarey of Brighton, Ill.; and one sister, Mary Cato of Puxico.

One brother, Albert Esarey, and two sisters, Edna Scowden and Stella Costephens, preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery in Bernie.
