Born Dec. 13, 1921, at Bernie, son of the late Richard Deen and Anna May Barks Esarey, he had lived in Puxico most of his life and retired as a livestock and row crop farmer.
Survivors include: one brother, Curtis Esarey of Brighton, Ill.; and one sister, Mary Cato of Puxico.
One brother, Albert Esarey, and two sisters, Edna Scowden and Stella Costephens, preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery in Bernie.
