EAST PRAIRIE - Frances Calhoun Houser, 76, formerly of Anniston, died at 5:23 a.m. Dec. 30, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born April 4, 1926, in Anniston, daughter of the late Charles Andy and Hattie Mae Thurman Calhoun, she was a nurse at Missouri Delta Medical Center and area nursing homes before retiring. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church in East Prairie.
Her husband, Raythel Lee Brock, preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Glenda Brock and Kathy Lou Mathney; one son, Roy Lee Brock; two sisters, Colleen Oliver and Grace Sanders; and one brother, Bud Calhoun.
Survivors include: five grandsons, Freddie Ray Organ of Anniston, Hoyt Alan Carter and Brian Ivan Jones of East Prairie, Steven Scott Oakley of Jefferson City and Steven Brock Oakley of Sikeston; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thurman Calhoun of Ontario, Calif., and Billy Calhoun of Chino, Calif.; and two sisters, Halene DeLeon of East Prairie and Bobbi Wicker Anderson of Anniston.
Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Shelby Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday with Burl Britt, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Anniston Cemetery.
