SIKESTON - Pat and Clyde Crawford of Sikeston are the parents of a girl, their first child, born Dec. 22, at Missouri Delta Community Hospital She weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces and has been named Myra Cole.

CHARLESTON - Arthur Lee Goodin, who will complete his 28th consecutive year as county clerk of Mississippi County on Jan. 1, 1983, was honored with an appreciation reception Thursday morning at the courthouse.


SIKESTON - Mrs. Thomas B. Allen of Sikeston recently attended an opening of the exhibit of the Dutch and English Delftware: A Puzzling and Befuddling Problem and the preview of the Daughters of the American Revolution Museum Antique Show. Allen is the chairman for the Kings Highway Chapter of the Friends of the Museum.

SIKESTON - The Sikeston Department of Public Safety reported two burglaries over the holiday weekend. According to a DPS report, on Thursday an officer was dispatched to a building on Frisco and William streets to a building formerly known as Al's Clean Up Shop. The second burglary occurred sometime between Dec. 24 and 25 at Kellett's Oil Co.


CHARLESTON - A burglary discovered about 2:40 p.m. Saturday netted the thieves of approximately $300, according to Public Safety Director Bob Ritchey, who said he believed other recent burglaries in the downtown area were committed by the same person/persons.
