New cartoon begins today

Beginning today, the Standard Democrat's will add the cartoon, Mallard Fillmore to its editorial page.

Created by Bruce Tinsley, Mallard Fillmore is a seasoned ex-newspaper reporter working for WFDR-TV in Washington, D.C. As the lone conservative in a big pond of liberals, Mallard Fillmore provides the often-absent opposing viewpoint.

Readers will find that Mallard predominantly swims against the tide of liberal opinion.

Tinsley became an editorial cartoonist when he won a contest sponsored by a weekly newspaper in Louisville. From the beginning his politically incorrect cartoons won him fans and today his cartoon Mallard Fillmore can be found in more than 400 newspapers nationwide.
