BLOOMFIELD -- Loedith Ann Shipley, 87, died Jan. 4, 2003, at the Beverly Health Care in Bloomfield.

Born Jan. 24, 1915, in Manila, Ark., daughter of the late Mack and Lena Morgan Colvin, she retired as a cook for the Hickory House Restaurant in Dexter and was affiliated with the Bible Tabernacle Church in Bloomfield.

On March 2, 1940, in New Madrid, she married R.A. Shipley who survives of Sikeston.

Other survivors include: two sons, Jerry Chisholm of Advance and Steve Shipley of Sikeston; four daughters, Bonnie Kemper of Arnold, Lois McNiel of Arbyrd, Elizabeth Tison of Bloomsdale and Jennolia Leathers of Dexter; and 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennivee Chisholm; and five brothers and four sisters.

Services were conducted at 10 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with Cotus James of Bloomfield, officiating.

Burial followed in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
