SIKESTON - Imagine not being home for Christmas to spend the holidays without family or friends. May elderly people face this sad problem every year, spending their holidays in nursing homes. They remember little things like stringing popcorn, baking and presents they received. I've heard residents say, 'I don't want a present. I just want so-and-so to come visit me,'" she recalled.

SIKESTON - New Madrid County Central's good hustling defense and strong rebounding held off a pesky Cape Girardeau Central team 57-53 Thursday in consolation-round play of the Sikeston Invitational Tournament. The win moves NMCC into Friday's championship game against Notre Dame.
