EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Millie Avanell Dye, 87, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died at 3 a.m. Dec. 12, 2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center.

Born Oct. 16, 1915, in Clarkton, daughter of the late Charles C. and Kallie Eden Edmundson, she owned and operated restaurants in Sikeston for 25 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clarkton.

Her husband, Dave Dye Jr., preceded her in death in 1978.

Survivors include: two sons, David Dye III of Evansville and Charles Thomas Dye of Hernando, Mo.; four grandchildren, Michael D. Dye of Evansville, Amy J. Hisch of St. Wendel, Brian E. Dye of Memphis, Tenn., and Crystal M. Dye of Anniston, Ill.; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 2 p.m. Saturday until service time at 5 p.m. at the Boone Funeral Home East Chapel in Evanston.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.
