EAST PRAIRIE - Bob L. Walker, 66, died Oct. 29, 2002, at his home.
Born Feb. 17, 1936, in East Prairie, son of the late Willie C. "Jake" and Lela Mae Furlong Walker, he lived near East Prairie most of his life and retired as a processor for the Bunge Corporation. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
On March 9, 1961, he married Georgia M. "Myrt" Black, who preceded him in death on Nov. 20, 1994.
Survivors include: one son, Sam Walker of Cumming, Ga.; and two brothers, Gale Walker of East Prairie and Mike Walker of St. Louis.
One brother, Gerald Walker, also preceded him in death.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday with Burl Britt, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
Pallbearers will be: James Furlong, Calvin Lemons, Joe Garner, Richard Haney, John Thurman and Shane Golightly.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Nick Thurman, Junior Bennett and Sammy Dean.
