Raymond Carpenter

BLOOMFIELD -- Raymond Carl Carpenter, 86, died at 12:01 p.m. March 2, 2005, at his home.

Born Nov. 1, 1918, in Treat, Ark., son of the late Weaver and Clara Hull Carpenter, he was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ at Morehouse.

On July 20, 1942, in Dover, Ark., he married Gladys May Gunter who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: six sons, Carl Carpenter of Morley, Floyd Carpenter of Kevil, Ky., Euel Carpenter of Blodgett, Larry Carpenter and Randy Carpenter of Bell City and Jerry Carpenter of Advance; three daughters, Shirley Kelley of Wickliffe, Ky., Connie Wyrick of Chambersburg, Pa., and Denise Long of Bell City; one sister, Eunice Mason of Dover; and 22 grandchildren and 18 great-

grandchildren.

Four brothers preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Billy Davis of the Advance Church of Christ will officiate assisted by Woodrow Phillips of the Morehouse Church of Christ.

Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.

Pallbearers will be: Adam Carpenter, Kyle Carpenter, Brandon Carpenter, Garan Bridges, Wesley Kelley and Brandon Stewart.
