ROCKFORD, Ill. -- Billy Joe Walker, 70, formerly of Neelyville, Mo., died April 24, 2002, in Rockford.
Born July 1, 1931, in Naylor, Mo., son of the late Charles Edward and Damie Whitehead Walker, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include: two sons, Jed Walker of Aurora and Brent Walker of St. Charles, Mich.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Tonya and John Haas of Rockford and Jody Walker of Frisco, Texas; one brother, Charles Walker of Dexter, Mo.; two sisters, Anna May Flippin of Dudley, Mo., and Nora Keesee of Malden, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvie Walker and Norman Walker; and three sisters, Edith Downey, Lillie Boyle and Lela Adams.
Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. Saturday until time for graveside services at noon at the Bethany Cemetery near Malden.
Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
