SIKESTON - Leo Ramsey, 66, died March 1, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born March 30, 1938, in Shuqualak, Miss., to the late John Ramsey and Lucinda Hardin Ramsey, he was a retired construction worker and affiliated with the Baptist church.

On July 7, 1968, he married Dorothy Thomas, who survives.

Also surviving are: one son, Kevin Bolen of Milwaukee, Wis.; one daughter, Linda Banks of Sikeston; four brothers, Lafayette Ramsey and Henry Ramsey of Wichita, Kan., and W.L. Ramsey and Sammie Ramsey of Shuqualak, Miss.; five sisters, Bertha Mae Oneal of Marks, Miss., Sadie Allen of Omaha, Neb., Lucy Ramsey, Annie Davis and Addie Miller of Wichita; and 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son and one daughter.

Visitation will be from noon Saturday until time for services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the New Morning Star Church at Haywood City. The Rev. Alex Sims will officiate.

Burial will follow in the New Morning Star Cemetery under the direction of the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Roger Gipson, Frank Jones, Earl Stevenson, Tyrome Jones, Edward Gipson and Ryan Miller.
