SIKESTON - Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Hodges are the proud parents of a baby girl born March 1 at Missouri Delta Community Hospital.

SIKESTON - At a special meeting Tuesday morning, the Sikeston City Council discussed the city's involvement with issuance of $275,000 in revenue bonds for construction of the shell building located off of Wakefield Avenue.

NEW MADRID - After more than two years of study, the proposal for a New Madrid National Wildlife Refuge is ready - for more study. A 200-page plus impact statement was mailed out to some 500 area residents, businesses and groups along with an invitation to attend a pubic meeting, designed to provide an explanation of the U.S. Department of Interior's proposal and to answer questions.
