SIKESTON - Wedding vows were exchanged during a 6:30 p.m. ceremony April 27, 2002, between Leslie Poore Walton and David Bradley Kenedy at the Briar Club in Sikeston. Mike Johnson of the Full Gospel Church in East Prairie performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mary Ferrenburg of Morley and Cloyce and Dorothy Leigh Poore of New Madrid. She is the granddaughter of the late Lester and Marion Wescoat Ferrenburg and Dan and Mary Bemiss Poore.
The bridegroom is the son of Ron and Jannie Davis of Sikeston and David and Gwen Kenedy of East Prairie. He is the grandson of Bill and Margie Woodham Huffstutler and Lee and Elva Williams Kenedy.
Acoustical music arrangements were provided by Mark Johnson of The Colony, Texas.
The bride wore a floor-length ivory dress featuring a square neckline and cap sleeves. The neck and hemline were embellished with pale ivory, yellow and green beading in the shape of small flowers and her bridal bouquet was made of ivory and mauve magnolias.
Janell E. Patterson of Dudley attended her friend as matron of honor. She, too, carried a bouquet of ivory and mauve magnolias.
W. Lee Wescoat of Matthews served his friend as best man.
The reception was held at the Briar Club, coordinated Susie Kenedy, aunt of the bridegroom and owner of the club.
