SIKESTON - More than 1,778 persons registered at the new Motor Bank facility of the Bank of Sikeston. Edward C. Matthews, of the bank, presented prize awards to Mrs. B.G. Corn, first place, $100; and W.T. Woods, third place, $25. The second place winner of $50 was not available for the presentation.

SIKESTON - The Sikeston girls basketball team ran its winning streak to five Wednesday, pouncing on Chaffee, 55-38.


SIKESTON - The true spirit of Christmas was felt Tuesday morning at a Christmas party at the Kenny Rogers Cerebral Palsy Center. Santa entered the room and showered the children with love and gifts.

SIKESTON - The Sikeston Kindergarten Center recently announced their December Citizenship Award students. They are: Gelisa Lattrel, Amanda Davis, Rachel Jordan, Jessica Porter, Robert Ransom, Austin Gelsheimer, Blake Nelson, Corey Davault and Kiarra Morris.
