Call 471-6636

I was at a laundromat in Sikeston the other day. I thought there was a law that you had to be over age 18 in order to smoke. While I was there, there were at least 20 kids in there smoking. I know some of them were under age 18 because I knew two of them and they were smoking - I bet they smoked four cigarettes just while they were standing there. The owners of the laundromat should check this out and put a stop to it.

I'm glad to see they finally put some cash registers in the lawn and garden section at Wal-Mart. It sure makes shopping a lot easier when we're buying law and garden supplies.

Tell me why pizza businesses do not deliver in some areas of Sunset. We do not live in a bad part of Sunset and they could earn a little extra cash if they would just deliver down there. I'm hungry.

We had this issue in SpeakOut a while back. The stores determine where their employees do and do not deliver. We suggest you call these businesses and ask the manager.

Get a life, Kmart. I'm sick and tired of seeing those boys out there carrying signs saying they're closing. We're not blind. We know you're closing. I feel sorry for those people who are losing their jobs. Get a life, Kmart. Get on with it and get it over with.

Can you tell me the name and phone number of the man who fixes clocks again?

Edgar Kinser (573) 568-4628.

Does anyone in the Sikeston area sell Beauty Control items? There used to be a representative here in Sikeston, but I don't know if there still is. If so, please leave a phone number in SpeakOut.

I read your article, Mr. Jensen, about people not going out and voting. I'm one who didn't vote. Until now, I have always voted in every election because I knew who I wanted to vote for. I didn't understand the charter that much and was afraid I'd vote wrong, so I just didn't vote. Then you talked about the west end getting more streets done than the north end. But if you stop and think about it, the north end didn't need it. They've had theirs for years and the west end didn't.

I'm calling about the All-Star basketball tournament at the Black River Coliseum. The least they could have done was advertise it in the newspaper so everyone would know, like they did last year. That way, anybody who would have wanted to go would have known about it.
