Call 471-6636

I've long wondered if politicians have any conscience at all or any moral responsibilities. After reading in the paper today about the three senators and two representatives who have no qualms about taking taxpayers' money to benefit themselves, and only themselves, after they are all out of Congress. They should all be ashamed of themselves.

I'm calling in reference to the person who said of the lady who drowned her children, it's not the same thing as abortion. Murder is murder and if those babies could look at you in the face, I'm sure they would say, "Mommy, please don't kill me."

You are talking about paying the slave people. These people now have no right to anything now. If you want to pay somebody, pay the Indians. They are the ones who were abused, stolen from, cheated on. You name it, they've done it. That's what we need. Pay the Indians.

I would like to comment about the $30 million that have been paid out erroneously. I would like to know what, if any, difference there would have been to recoup that money? I feel that since it's a minority there probably has been none. I got a $100 check too much one time and they hounded me until I sent it back. Why can they waste $30 million and let them spend all that money on $100 or even $1. I would just bet there's been nothing done to regain that $30 million that they gave out erroneously.

It's time us race fans need to call the cable company and get FX put on. Our cable bills are going up all the time and it seems like the services are going down and the channels are going down. They really need to put FX on with the standard deal or make it available where you can get it. In my opinion, Charter Cable is not too good these days.

I saw in SpeakOut where someone had the same concern I have. Why aren't the city court reports in the paper anymore? I would like to know. I'd like to see it.

We're trying to get them.

I called yesterday claiming that I hadn't seen any news about a NASCAR driver who got arrested in Florida and has since then been gone easy on, I guess you could say. It seems the same day I called you guys finally did print something in your sports section, although I thought that would have been a bigger deal than to just be tucked in the middle of the section, but beggars can't be choosers. Thank you for printing it, at long last.

We couldn't print the information until we received it. The April 17 report was issued by the Associated Press and is the only information we received concerning the case.

Well, there's more than one reason people have handicap parking places. It's because some people have had a stroke and can't walk very far and they need the handicap places. But people who aren't even handicapped park in there and we have to walk farther than they do.
