SIKESTON - Jason David Pounds and Reagan Marsden exchanged wedding vows in a 6 p.m. ceremony Oct. 6, 2001, at Tanner Street Church of God before the Rev. Vaughn Marsden and the Rev. Joe Drew.
The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Vaughn and Lynda Marsden of Ozark, Ark., and granddaughter of John and Lenora MacBride of Sikeston.
The bridegroom is the son of David Pounds and Don and Brenda Rolwing of Sikeston.
Music was performed by organist Shirley McClellan of Sikeston and vocalist Jessica Dixon, also of Sikeston, who sang "From This Moment" and "I Will Be Here."
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an A-line bridal gown designed with a pleated cummerbund and satin trim. Her bouquet was made of white roses.
Annalisa Clemons of Ozark attended her sister as maid of honor and matron of honor was Becky Barber of Sikeston, friend of the couple. Bridesmaids were Sandy Lowe of Sikeston, friend of the bride, and Laura LaPorte of Southhaven, Miss., sister of the bridegroom. Serving as junior bridesmaid was Anna Catherine Uthoff of East Prairie, friend of the couple, and Kennedy LaPorte of Southhaven, niece of the couple. The bridesmaids wore coral dresses in keeping with the ivory and coral color theme of the event.
Attending the bridegroom as best man was Chris Best of Cape Girardeau, friend of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Brent Barber and Chris Uthoff of Sikeston, friends of the bridegroom, and Dave LaPorte of Southhaven, brother-in-law of the bride and bridegroom. Gage Barber of Sikeston, friend of the couple, was junior groomsman and ring bearers were Kaylon Clemons of Ozark and Logan LaPorte of Southhaven, nephews of the bride and bridegroom. Jason Laswell of Cape Girardeau, friend of the bridegroom, and Brian Pounds of Dexter, brother of the bridegroom, served as candlelighters and ushers.
Terry Cheatham of Sikeston served as wedding coordinator. Alison Pearson of Sikeston was program attendant and Megan Uthoff of East Prairie was guest book attendant.
Assisting at the reception held at the Sikeston Jaycee Sponsors Building were Kerri Laswell of Cape Girardeau and Terry Cheatham.
Following a wedding trip to St. Louis, the new Mr. and Mrs. Pounds are residing in Sikeston.
