CAIRO, Ill. -- Adelaide Page, 80, died Dec. 26, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born June 14, 1922, in Olmsted, daughter of the late Dr. Oscar and Bertha Albright Caraker, she was a lifelong resident of the Olmsted and Cairo communities. A graduate of Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Mo., she was a teacher at Elmwood Elementary School in Cairo for one year and an Avon representative for many years. She was also a member of Tigert Memorial United Methodist Church in Cairo, where she was active in many organizations and activities.
She was married to William W. Page who preceded her in death in 1975.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Roger Rushing of Cairo; three sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Joyce Page of East Prairie, Mo., Alan and Cyndi Page of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jeffrey and Joyce Page of Nampa, Idaho; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
One brother, Waldo Caraker, preceded her in death in 1976.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Kelly Cox and the Rev. Steven Cartwright will officiate.
Burial will follow in Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City.
