SCOTT CITY - Ashley Suzanne Lynn and Christopher Lee Speakman are the parents of their first child, a son, born at 8:29 p.m. Sept. 19, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Logan Jesse Speakman weighed 9 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20-inches long.

Lynn, daughter of Theresa Steagall of Scott City and Terry Lynn of Marietta, Ga., is a student and employed by Goody's Family Clothing.

Speakman, son of Jeannie Moore of Scott City, is employed by the Botkin Lumber Company.

SIKESTON - Charolett McGee and Douglas Gross are the parents of their first child, a son, born at 6:30 a.m. Sept. 19, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. Johnathan Douglas-Dwayne Gross weighed 5 pounds, 11 ounces and was 18-inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Robert and Freida McGee.

Paternal grandparents are Patricia Wright and James Hickman.
