This new facility has been planned for the ultimate in drive-in banking.

MALDEN - A mock earthquake provided the scenario for part of a disaster drill sponsored this weekend by the SEMO Civil Defense Association. Nearly 200 people from a 13-county area participated in the drill.


JEFFERSON CITY - State Rep. Dennis Ziegenhorn of Sikeston has been named co-chairman of an interim House committee to study interstate banking. Ziegenhorn explained the committee was established to study the question of interstate banking.

SIKESTON - For the first time in the history of the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo, a pageant winner has been chosen Miss Rodeo Missouri. Julie Stoner, 1993 Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo Queen, was selected recently to represent Missouri in the National Miss Rodeo America competition in November.
