Born Feb. 17, 1931, in St. Louis, daughter of Margaret Whithington Requarth Lockhart of Dexter and the late Frank Requarth, she was a member of the Advance United Methodist Church and TNT Women's Club of Advance. She had also been a Girl Scout leader.
On Jan. 24, 1948, at Advance, she married Bill Rhodes who preceded her in death on July 10, 1993.
Survivors in addition to her mother include: one son, Billy Rhodes of Advance; two daughters, Kathy Kinder of Sikeston and Amy Winchester of Advance; one brother, Gerry Requarth of Murray, Ky.; one sister, Jane Ann Pindell of Dexter; five grandchildren, G.W. Gilmore III of Sikeston Leeanee Price of Mount Carmel, Ill., Amanda Bird, Abby Winchester and Billy Rhodes III of Advance; and two great-granddaughters, Hallie Jean of Advance and Alexis Price of Mount Carmel.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Advance United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Zych and the Rev. Dale Wiseman, officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Stoddard County Children's Home.
