BERTRAND - Betty Jo Parr, 71, died at 7:10 a.m. Nov. 10, 2002, at the Bertrand Nursing Facility.
Born Feb. 6, 1931, in Bertrand, daughter of the late Robert Losson and Lula Mae Taber Skelton, she was a lifelong resident of Bertrand where she was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She retired in 1983 from Potlatch in Sikeston.
On Dec. 20, 1952, she married Charles "Buddy" Parr who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Charles Parr Jr. of Olive Branch, Miss., Kevin Parr of Bertrand and Mike Parr of Hernando, Miss.; one daughter, Gracia Parr of Sikeston; two stepdaughters, Patricia Daffron and Peggy Moore of Senatobia, Miss.; two sisters, Marie Bridges of Arnold and Vivian Hooper of Bertrand; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Three brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Larry Davis, pastor of Trinity Gospel Church in Sikeston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Joey Heckert, Jeff McKinley, Sam Wise, David Bridges, Harold Delk and Jerry Holland.
