CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Lillian Lorraine Maevers, 89, died June 29, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
Born Jan. 19, 1918, in Cape Girardeau, to the late Angus Teddy and Alpha Mae Lufcy Baldwin, she was a 1936 graduate of Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University. She worked for International Shoe and was a teacher's aide at Schultz School. A member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, the church's Friendship Circle, choir, and the EUCC Prayer Group, she delivered Meals on Wheels and was a volunteer with FISH.
On May 5, 1943, in Cape Girardeau, she married Frank Albert Maevers who survives.
Other survivors: include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Frank and Paulette Maevers Jr. and Ted Maevers of Cape Girardeau; one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Steve Miller of Charleston; and three grandchildren, Laura (Dale) Hughes of Cincinnati, Reid (Jacquie) Miller of Belmont, Miss., and Amé Maevers of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Joe Allen and Francis Fredrick Maevers.
Services will be at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. today with the Rev. Ernest Jordan officiating.
Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park.
