SIKESTON - Carl Henry Bailey, 74, died Feb. 18, 2002, at his home.

Born Nov. 3, 1927, in Aid, son of the late Jess and Lena Marie Clark Bailey, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston. He owned and operated Bailey's Electronics until retiring and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

On Sept. 16, 1950, in Piggott, Ark., he married Dee Clay who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Kim Bailey-Bax and Terry Bax of St. Louis; one son, Clay Bailey of Mustang, Okla.; four sisters, Delores Bowen and Virginia Pauline Hart of Crockett, Texas, Betty Jo Clay of Sikeston and Gloria Livers of St. Charles; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Springs of Sikeston; seven grandchildren, Christopher Dye of Cape Girardeau, Logan Dye of Denver, Colo., Clay Bailey Jr., Cody Bailey and Kelsy Bailey of Mustang and Chris Bax and Ryan Bax of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Bill Koch, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Military graveside rites will be conducted at Garden of Memories Cemetery by New Madrid American Legion Post 595.
