Getting ready

Judy Leigh will wish her students "aloha," "buenos dias" and "hello" as they arrive for class Friday at Matthews Elementary School in Matthews. Leigh, the art and music teacher for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, prepared a bulletin board for the first day of school and will incorporate the sayings in one of the first songs her students will learn this school year.
