SIKESTON -- Ammie Kathleen Myers and Christopher Kyle Shackles exchanged wedding vows in a 3 p.m. ceremony Sept. 4, 2004, at Sandywood Baptist Church before the Rev. Dolan Rogers.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Shirley Myers and the bridegroom is the son of Danny and Elizabeth Shackles, all of Sikeston.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin sleeveless bridal gown embellished with embroidered roses. The full skirt was complemented with a long train.
Christal Wilmot of Essex attended the bride as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Godsey of Kennett and Sherry Knight and Sandra Escobar of Sikeston. Bethany Knight, daughter of Jimmy and Sherry Knight of Sikeston, was flower girl.
Daniel Shackles of Sikeston served the bridegroom as best man. Groomsmen were Matt Torbet, Gary Shackles and Rodney Sieler of Sikeston. Charlie Escobar and Joseph Escobar, sons of Carlos and Sandra Escobar of Sikeston, served as ring bearers. Ushers were Carlos Escobar, Jimmy Knight and Kassey Oakley of Sikeston.
Candlelighters were Jennifer Knight and Cody Martin of Sikeston.
Wedding guests at the reception, which was held in the Shriner's Club, were served by Melinda Martin of Sikeston, Joetta Blumenberg and Kim Presson of Diehlstadt.
Following a honeymoon trip to Branson, Mr. and Mrs. Shackles are residing in Sikeston.
