CANALOU -- The First Baptist Church of Canalou provided the setting for the 1 p.m. wedding ceremony Sept. 27, 2003, of Nikki Garza and Joe Richardson. The Rev. Dewayne Coleman performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Pam Garza and the bridegroom's mother is Georgia Ruth Hartlein, both of Canalou.

Escorted by her grandfather, Bobbie Felton, the bride wore a traditional white wedding dress. The bridegroom wore black slacks and a white dress shirt.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Melinda Garza and bridesmaids were Ashley Southard and Rachael Felton. Flower girls were Jessica Southard, Jeannie Felton and Skylar Felton.

Bubba Southard served the bridegroom as best man. Groomsmen were Ronnie Vaughn and Don Vaughn and ring bearer was Gunner Felton.

Guest book attendant was Brenda Guardado and ushers were Ricky Garza, Christopher Felton, Jonathon Felton, Jeremy Vaughn and Jamie Vaughn.

A reception followed the ceremony at the old Canalou School, where entertainment was provided by Larry Felton. The three-tiered wedding cake, which featured white trim and purple roses, was designed by Wal-Mart. Decorations for the reception were provided by Pam Garza, Peggy Southard and Brandy Felton.
