Davidson, Smith lead Lions to victory over Wildeyes

SIKESTON -- Sikeston Area Youth Baseball was back in action on Friday night. Here are those results:


Caleb Davidson and Chase Smith were both 2-for-3, leading the Lions to victory. Aaron Branson also provided a hit with two RBIs.

Julius Tobias pitched the first two innings, allowing three hits and one walk with two strikeouts. Vince Howard then came in and shut the door, giving up one hit and four walks with six strikeouts.

For Wildeyes, Jimmy Obermark was 2-for-3 and Rodgers also had a hit. Obermark was charged with the loss.

Lewis 10, Legion 2

Stephen Beydler and Tim Hart were both 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, leading Lewis to the 10-2 victory. Jordan Williams was 2-for-2 with an RBI and Cody Rice was 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Hart got the win, pitching all five innings. He allowed two hits and six walks with eight strikeouts.


Coby Dunn was 3-for-3, leading Steward Steel to a 7-2 win. Brady Culvert was 2-for-3 and Ben Priday also had a hit. Culvert also got the win, pitching all five innings.

For Blanchard, Amos was 2-for-3.

Other hits came from Arther Kingston, Charlie, Josh Bill, Dillion Murphy and Evan Underwood.

Amos and Nathan Helm both pitched in the loss.

Zach Partin and N. Bird both pitched for the Elks. Ben Freed threw for Fabrite.

Chris Limbaugh and Evan Deere both pitched in the win. Zach Myers and Nathan Rodgers threw for Blanchard.

Fabick vs. Elks

No final score was reported. For the Elks, Kyle Brasher was 2-for-3. Zach Partin, Nick Bird and Dillion Martin all pitched.

For Fabick, Ross Bohannon was 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

Marshall Stallings and Blake Newman both pitched for Fabick.


Luke Keefer was 3-for-3, leading Standard Democrat to the win. Earl Grimson and Kyle McElwain also had hits. Keefer and Colton Williams both pitched for the SD.

For Nunnelee, Marcus Pixton was 2-for-2 and Hunter Williams was 2-for-3. Kyle Brown and Jason Brown had one hit each. Williams pitched in the loss.


Bryant Decota and Trey Tigart each had four hits for Carnell's. Jacob Williams added three hits.

Cord Sheehy, Joseph Henggeler and Jack Sutton each had two hits for 731.

Ferguson was led by Cody Landers and Chase Baran with two hits each.

Jim Wilson's Miranda Fowler, Drew Harper, Sam Lincoln and Alexander Protzel each had three hits.

Lincoln and Harper had inside the park homers while Eric Darnell had a triple.

1NB was led by Jimmy Hines, Hunter Duff and Caleb Hampton with three hits each. Brady Glaus, Derin Hoskins, Devon Martin and Antwan Marshall each had two hits.

DQ was led by Michael Burdin, Luke Haines and Dustin Deen with three hits each.


Morlan was led by Cody Rodgers and Colton Hampton with three hits each. Clark Atchison, Mack Marcum and John Gaddis each had two hits.

Silver was led by Riley Stark's three hits. Ethan Protzel, Matthew Sims, Gage Barber and Cody Dixon each had one hit.
