Jessica Owens picked up the win, allowing three hits and four walks with two strikeouts.
"I actually thought we would play them a little stronger," said Sikeston coach Jenny Hobeck. "We didn't hit quite as well as I would've liked, but overall, we did okay. Defensively, we didn't have any errors."
Sikeston jumped on the scoreboard early with two runs in the first inning. The other three runs came in the fourth. East Prairie's only run was also scored in the fourth.
Barbara Hobbs paced the offense, batting 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run. Allison Blurton was 1-for-2 with a sacrifice fly and a run.
Julie Annesser added a single with a run and Erin Wibbenmeyer had an RBI single. Paige Silverthorn and Owens also scored for the Lady Bulldogs.
For East Prairie, Lydia Thomure was charged with the loss. The Lady Eagles' three hits came from Thomure, Markum and Tatum.
Sikeston (4-5) will be back in action on Monday, traveling to Notre Dame.
"It's good to get another win," said Hobeck. "We're almost at the .500 mark."
