CHAFFEE - Alma Louise Harmon, 89, died at 9:38 p.m. Feb. 28, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born March 19, 1915, in Chaffee, daughter of the late Otis Alma and Mabel Jennie White Keller, she retired from retail work for the Harmon Furniture Store in Chaffee. A member of the First United Methodist Church, she was also a charter member of the Chaffee Business and Professional Women's Club and Chaffee Chamber of Commerce.
On March 27, 1976, she married DeWitt Wilson Harmon, who preceded her in death on April 8, 2000.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Thelma Keller and Juanita Bentley; one brother, Otis Keller; and one niece, Patricia Bentley.
Survivors include: one stepson and daughter-in-law, James V. and Linda Harmon of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one sister, Lucille Brooks of Mitchell, Ill.; two stepgranddaughters and two great-stepgranddaughters; five nieces, Judy Rushing, Peggy Masters, Becky Chandler, Mary Brooks and Barbara Danheiser; three nephews, Jim Brooks, Douglas Brooks and David Brooks; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Marty Blakey will officiate.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at Cape Girardeau.
